UPC is a Court

As of October 27, 2021 the UPC has the Status of a Court

The Protocol on Privileges and Immunities has now entered into force, granting the UPC the status of a court. This means that the premises of the court shall be inviolable and the judges enjoy the privileges and immunities as granted by the European Union.

In addition, the delegations of the member states supported a draft declaration on the interpretation of the entry into force the day after 13 signatory states. This interpretation excluded the United Kingdom from the minimum 13 signatory states, following Brexit.
