Cohausz & Florack welcomes three new patent attorneys to the team

Düsseldorf, April 19, 2024 – Law firm Cohausz & Florack (C&F) is further expanding its technical and legal expertise: Lars Grannemann, Dr. Carl Henning Lubba, and Dr. Matthias Rottmann recently joined the patent attorney team. All three specialists successfully completed their training at the firm.

Lars Grannemann specializes in information and communication technology. He graduated with distinction in the “Top Industrial Managers for Europe” dual Master’s program at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (M.Sc.Eng.) and the RWTH Aachen (M.Sc.). He then worked as a research engineer at the Institute for Networked Systems (iNETS) at RWTH Aachen University and conducted research and published papers on wireless networks. He has been supporting C&F’s electrical engineering team as a patent attorney since March 2024.

After completing his Master’s degrees in electrical engineering at RWTH Aachen University and engineering at the École Centrale Paris, Dr. Carl Henning Lubba continued his academic career at Imperial College London. He completed his doctorate in the Centre for Neurotechnology on the subject of “Decoding algorithms for peripheral nerves.” In the course of his research, he published numerous scientific articles, which have been cited hundreds of times. Dr. Carl Henning Lubba also joined C&F’s electrical engineering team in March 2024.

Dr. Matthias Rottmann completed a Master’s degree in engineering physics at the Technical University of Munich, in which he acquired a broad technical understanding and specialist knowledge in the fields of thermophysics, renewable energies, and organic semiconductors. As part of his doctorate, he led a research project funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs on the development and industrial application of highly efficient vacuum thermal insulation. Dr. Matthias Rottmann has enriched the areas of physics and electrical engineering at C&F since April 2024.

“In Lars Grannemann, Dr. Carl Henning Lubba, and Dr. Matthias Rottmann, we now have three additional highly qualified experts and strong personalities on board. We also feel encouraged as an employer by the fact that all three have already completed their patent attorney training at our firm,” says Dr. Christoph Walke, patent attorney and partner at C&F. “We are delighted to add more crucial technological fields to our range of advisory services.”
