Cohausz & Florack wins 2024 Managing IP Award

Düsseldorf, April 12, 2024 - The law firm Cohausz & Florack (C&F) was honored at this year's Managing IP Awards together with other law firms for outstanding achievements in cross-border European patent litigation. Dr Jochen Kapfenberger, patent attorney and partner at C&F, accepted the award in the "Europe Cross-Border Patent Litigation Team" category on behalf of the firm at the ceremony in London on 11 April.

The prestigious award recognizes C&F's achievements in corresponding utility model infringement and cancellation proceedings between Ocado, an online grocery logistics service provider, and Autostore, a manufacturer of warehouse automation systems. The global dispute relating to robotics technology, was settled in July 2023. The C&F team represented Ocado in the German proceedings together with law firm Wildanger Kehrwald Graf v. Schwerin & Partner (Düsseldorf).

"We see the award as the grand finale of a series of very challenging proceedings and as confirmation of the good cooperation with our German and foreign legal colleagues. We are delighted to receive this award," said Dr Jochen Kapfenberger.

Each year, the Managing IP Awards honors law firms, individuals and companies from Europe, the Middle East and Africa that have made outstanding contributions to strengthening intellectual property and expanding the international IP market.
