Gottfried Schüll es el experto líder en monetización de carteras de SEP con alcance mundial. Estas y otras exitosas medidas de aplicación basadas en las SEP de AVC/H.264 contra los mayores fabricantes chinos de smartphones y televisores han ayudado desde 2015 a que los correspondientes programas de otorgamiento de licencias de Via Licensing Alliance se consideren el estándar de oro de las licencias SEP.
Gottfried Schüll ha participado como responsable en más de 750 litigios de patentes y procedimientos de nulidad. Ejerce sus funciones ante el Tribunal Supremo Federal alemán, la Corte Federal de Patentes, las audiencias territoriales nacionales y de los Länder, y el Tribunal Unificado de Patentes.
