Düsseldorf, 08. April 2016 – 3D printing is revolutionizing production – and will also be a central theme at this year's Hannover Messe. At the joint NRW stand (Hall 16, Stand A10), Cohausz & Florack (C&F) will provide insights into the legal challenges of the procedure that is deemed by experts to be the technology of the future. Dr. Henning Sternemann of C&F will hold a lecture on the issue of how business concepts need to change when the means of production are available to everyone. He will also focus on the increased risk of product piracy and measures for the effective enforcement of intellectual property rights. In a further lecture, visitors will find out in how far the protection of know-how can be an alternative to patent application. A number of examples from everyday business will be used for illustrative purposes.
In his lectures, Dr. Jochen Kapfenberger of C&F will describe the importance of targeted monitoring of patents on the example of 3D printing: Those who keep an eye on the intellectual property rights of competitors can avoid costly litigation and receive important information for their own business area. “Regular patent monitoring can be of high strategic use to enterprises”, explains Kapfenberger. “We are pleased that we’ve got the opportunity to discuss such issues with visitors at Hannover Messe and can inform them about the possibilities of intellectual property rights.“
The firm will also make the issue of property rights tangible at an exhibition where selected technical exhibits from North Rhine-Westphalia underline how innovative the federal state has been in the past decades and still is today. And as was the case in 2015, visitors are again invited to become active themselves this year: In a competition they can guess the area in which a particular invention is used. Not an easy task – but nevertheless doable. Clever participants can look forward to winning the model of a Stirling engine.
