Düsseldorf, November 14, 2023 – The law firm Cohausz & Florack (C&F) is representing Nokia in a series of patent infringement suits against Amazon Prime. The Finnish tech corporation has already won several court cases in the field of cell phone patents in the past. The current proceedings against Amazon Prime involve video-related technologies, in particular those for video compression. The actions were filed in the USA, Germany, India, the United Kingdom, and before the European Patent Court (Unified Patent Court, UPC). In Germany, Amazon Prime is facing two lawsuits before Düsseldorf Regional Court (Landgericht) and one each at Mannheim and Munich Regional Courts.
Nokia is represented by a hard-hitting team made up of C&F (headed by Dr. Christoph Walke), Düsseldorf firm Arnold Ruess and, for the first time, London IP boutique EIP.
