Dr. Jonathan Schlegel
Career
Dr. Jonathan Schlegel is a licensed pharmacist. After studying pharmacy at the University of Münster, he completed his doctoral studies at the University of Bonn in the field of pharmacology and structural biology of G protein-coupled receptors. After obtaining his doctorate, he took part in Bayer AG’s renowned “International Future Leadership Program”, where he gained two years of in-depth practical experience in the manufacturing and research-based pharmaceutical industry. He then spent nearly one year as Associate Principal Scientist in early drug research in Bayer’s Biology & Assays department.
Jonathan Schlegel is a graduate of “Bonn International Graduate School of Drug Science” and won several awards for his academic achievements, including the Foundation Prize of the Westfalen-Lippe Pharmacists’ Foundation and the ProTalent Scholarship from the University of Münster. He regularly published his research findings in specialist pharmaceutical publications.
Jonathan Schlegel began training as a patent attorney at COHAUSZ & FLORACK in fall 2025 and has since been supporting the Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences team with his expertise. His trainers are Dr. Natalie Kirchhofer and Dr. Julia Konrad.
