Cohausz & Florack to enhance its electrical engineering section

Cohausz & Florack (C&F) continually enhances its electrical engineering section: On January 1 2014 Dr. Fabian Vogelbruch was appointed partner.

For the Düsseldorf based law firm he is now the 17th partner. The forty-year-old attorney has been working for the company since 2005 with special regard to the fields of communications engineering, data processing, circuit technology and software.  On behalf of C&F he recently represented the manufacturer Nokia in court against HTC in a long-term lawsuit. According to Vogelbruch, “cases of patent litigation such as these in the field of Smartphone technology are becoming more frequent. As a consequence, the demand on the part of our mandates is equally high. We offer expertise in this complex area with a skillful team of electrical engineers.” Since September 1 2013 thirty-year-old Matthias Waters belongs to the team’s patent attorneys.  After his studies of electrical technology at RWTH Aachen, he did a three-year training with C&F. With his expertise in the areas of communications technology, data processing, cryptography and micro systems engineering he expands the law firm’s range of services in the fields of electrical technology. Including him, there are now 7 C&F patent attorneys with a background in electrical engineering. All in all, the C&F interdisciplinary team includes 20 patent attorneys and four specialized attorneys-at-law.
