Cohausz & Florack appoints two new partners
Firm strengthened by Hendrik Bücker and Jan Ackermann.
Düsseldorf, 07.12.2016 – As of 1.1.2017, Cohausz & Florack (C&F) will further expand its team of partners with the appointment of two qualified patent attorneys: Hendrik Bücker and Jan Ackermann. Thus 19 experienced personalities are now at the head of the firm.
During his studies of electrical engineering at the Ruhr University Bochum, Hendrik Bücker specialized in the areas of communications engineering and medical technology. After his training at C&F, he joined the firm as a patent attorney in 2010. The 38-year-old is concerned mainly with property rights issues in the fields of telecommunication, medical technology, software and renewable energy technology.
After obtaining a degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on automotive engineering at the RWTH Aachen, Jan Ackermann successfully completed his training as a patent attorney at C&F. He has worked for C&F in this function since 2012. The 36-year-old possesses specialist technical expertise in the field of automotive engineering. Further areas of expertise include general engineering, power machinery and work engines, machine elements, and manufacturing technology.
“With Hendrik Bücker and Jan Ackermann we now have two further partners on board who have already accompanied our firm for a number of years and with their personality and expertise have played a decisive role in its development,” says C&F partner Andreas Thielmann. But the firm is also reinforcing its younger generation: By June 2017 another five university graduates will begin their training as patent attorneys at C&F. The Düsseldorf firm will thus increase its number of trainees to a total of sixteen. “We are pleased that we can also inspire many young people to become trained as a patent attorney,” continues Thielmann. "Experience has shown that many of them can and will continue their professional careers with us.”
