Two new patent attorneys at C&F

With the addition of Dr. Melanie Lödige and Felipe von Heereman, the firm gains further expertise in the fields of pharmaceuticals and mechanical engineering

Düsseldorf, April 8, 2020 – Cohausz & Florack (C&F) is expanding its team of patent attorneys with the addition of two competent members: Dr. Melanie Lödige (Dipl.-Pharm.) has a PhD in the field of organic chemistry and specializes in drug synthesis and formulation. Since November 2019 she has strengthened the chemistry, pharmaceuticals and life sciences team at C&F, where she is primarily involved in patent opposition and infringement proceedings. "The current situation has made us vividly aware of just how important health is. Innovations in chemistry, Pharmaceuticals and life sciences are therefore more relevant than ever. We are pleased that Dr. Melanie Lödige is joining our team with her high level of expertise", says Dr. Natalie Kirchhofer, patent attorney and partner at C&F.

Felipe von Heereman specialized in mechanical engineering during his studies of industrial engineering and brings with him special expertise in the fields of energy and automotive engineering. He completed his training to become a patent attorney at C&F and since April has been supporting the mechanical engineering team of C&F in all matters of intellectual property rights. "We are experiencing mechanical engineering to be an innovative, growth-oriented branch, and in Felipe von Heereman have found an expert with whom we can strengthen and expand our competence in this field", says Hans-Joachim Meyer, patent attorney and partner at C&F.

With the addition of Dr. Melanie Lödige and Felipe von Heereman, the team of attorneys at C&F has now grown to a total of 29 specialists: 25 patent attorneys and 4 attorneys-at-law.
