Three new patent attorneys join the Cohausz & Florack team

Dr. Soizic Grote, Dr. Eva Hasenhütl, and Florian Dietzler bolster the firm in the fields of physics and mechanical engineering

Düsseldorf, September 2, 2021 – Cohausz & Florack (C&F) is continuing to grow, adding three more specialists to its team: Dr. Soizic Grote, Dr. Eva Hasenhütl, and Florian Dietzler. After successfully completing their training at C&F and the obligatory “Amtsjahr” in Munich (consisting of two months at the German Patent and Trademark Office and six months at the Federal Patent Court), the three are now commencing their roles as patent attorneys at C&F.

Dr. Soizic Grote studied engineering at the Grande École INSA (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées) in Rennes (France), specializing in materials science and nanotechnologies, and thereafter earned her PhD in material physics from the University of Münster. Thanks to Dr. Grote’s connections to her home country of France, C&F looks forward to further expanding its collaborations with companies and law firms based there.

Dr. Eva Hasenhütl graduated with a degree in engineering from the University of Leoben (MUL; Austria) and then worked for a leading Austrian research company in the field of materials science. She completed her PhD studies in Japan at the Graduate School of Energy Science at Kyoto University in the field of fusion reactor materials research, for which she received a scholarship from the Japanese government.

Florian Dietzler studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University, specializing in the field of energy technology with a particular focus on combustion engines. Throughout and following his studies he gained practical experience in this area through his work at the university’s Institute for Automotive Engineering (“ika”) and at FEV GmbH. Mr. Dietzler also gained hands-on experience in the field of compressor development during his internship at Siemens AG.

As patent attorney candidates, the three were trained by Dr. Thomas Rox, Mathias Karlhuber, Dr. Jochen Kapfenberger, and Jan Ackermann, all of whom are patent attorneys and partners at C&F. By taking on three former patent attorney candidates, the firm once again shows how much importance it places on first-class training. “Our experience with bringing our trainees back on board permanently has been very positive for some time now. We are delighted that we were once again able to convince three of them to pursue their future careers with us,” says Dr. Thomas Rox. “It gives us great pleasure to welcome Dr. Soizic Grote, Dr. Eva Hasenhütl, and Florian Dietzler back to the team.”
