JUVE Patent has reported on ongoing patent proceedings in connection with the H.265 video standard. According to the report, Nokia is pursuing patent infringement claims against several manufacturers — specifically ASUS, Acer and Hisense. JUVE states that the background is that products from these companies use the H.265 standard, for which Nokia holds patents.
According to the specialist publication, Nokia and Hisense have now resolved the dispute through a settlement. The proceedings against ASUS and Acer, however, are continuing.
