Congratulations: Andreas Thielmann has been a partner at Cohausz & Florack for 30 years

Düsseldorf, January 12, 2023 – On January 1, 2023, Andreas Thielmann celebrated his anniversary as a partner at Cohausz & Florack (C&F). For three decades, he has steered and shaped the firm with expertise, foresight, and passion, and in all these years has been instrumental in making C&F a major German patent and law firm on a national and international level.

As a patent attorney, Andreas Thielmann is an important point of contact for numerous renowned companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises and large-scale industrial companies in Germany and abroad. His work focuses on technical and legal issues in the fields of general mechanical engineering, in particular packaging technology, power plant and energy technology, and environmental and process engineering. He advises clients across the entire spectrum of IP, especially on technical property rights, designs, and trademarks. With his experience and expertise, Andreas Thielmann has also promoted the training of young patent attorneys in the firm for many years. He is active in international IP organizations and as an honorary judge in the Senate for Patent Attorney Matters at the Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof – BGH) in Karlsruhe. After earning a degree in mining at RWTH Aachen University and working at Bergbau-Forschung GmbH (today: DMT), Andreas Thielmann embarked on a career as a patent attorney. He has been a patent attorney at C&F since 1991. Of all the active partners, he has worked at the firm the longest.

“Andreas Thielmann combines passion and expertise in impressive fashion and is also an incredibly important member of our team with his experience, level-headedness, and leadership skills,” says Gottfried Schüll, patent attorney and partner at C&F. “On behalf of the entire firm, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations on your 30th anniversary and look forward to many more years working together.”
