Cohausz & Florack is “Firm of the Year for Patent Law”

Düsseldorf, October 28, 2024 – Cohausz & Florack (C&F) has won the JUVE Award 2024 in the category “Firm of the Year for Patent Law.” With this award, the JUVE editorial team recognizes the excellent quality of the Düsseldorf-based firm in patent law advice and litigation across all technical fields. C&F won the award first and foremost for its achievements in complex lawsuits over mobile communications standards and pharmaceuticals. The firm’s huge success for Bayer in the dispute over the drug Xarelto and its Europe-wide strategy in the battle against generics manufacturers were singled out. The litigation for Nokia in numerous mobile communications suits relating to standard essential patents, including before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), was also recognized. In addition, the award honored the firm’s personnel development and its commitment to promoting young talent.

The JUVE Awards are the culmination of extensive work by the editorial team for the handbook JUVE German Commercial Law Firms. The results are based on information from interviews with clients, partners, junior attorneys-at-law, and judges. Every year, the JUVE Awards recognize law firms and company legal departments that have stood out for making strides in their work and market position over the past twelve months.

The awards ceremony took place on October 24, 2024, in Frankfurt.
