Johannes Simons represents market-leading companies from Germany and Europe in all questions of intellectual property rights. His special technical expertise lies in the fields of mechanical engineering, process engineering and materials. He advises clients in particular on the establishment, maintenance and enforcement of large intellectual property portfolios at home and abroad and on the introduction of individual measures to deal with intellectual property within the company. This also includes comprehensive consulting in the field of employee invention law.
After his mechanical engineering studies, Johannes Simons completed his vocational training at COHAUSZ & FLORACK. Since 1994 he has been admitted as a patent attorney and representative before the European Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). He has been a partner in the firm since 1995.
He is one of the founding directors of CFProfile, a company that provides IP monitoring services for COHAUSZ & FLORACK clients. In addition, he is the initiator and one of the chairmen of the sponsoring association CFKinder, which operates a day care center for the children of COHAUSZ & FLORACK employees.
