The use of the professional title “European patent attorney” for professional representatives before the European Patent Office under Art. 134 EPC was recommended by the Administrative Council of the European Patent Organisation (OJ EPO 1979, 452, https://www.epo.org/de/legal/official-journal/1979/11-12/p452.html).

UPC representatives:

The firm’s UPC (Unified Patent Court) representatives are registered with the UPC in accordance with Article 48(3) UPCA. The registry kept by the Registrar of the UPC contains the admission details of the individual registered UPC representatives (www.unified-patent-court.org/de/kanzlei/vertretung).
