Philipe Walter

Philipe Walter hat als Patentanwalt bei COHAUSZ & FLORACK umfangreiche Expertise in den Bereichen Elektrotechnik, Informationstechnologie und Mechatronik. Zu seinen Mandanten zählt unter anderem ein international tätiger Energiekonzern. Darüber hinaus betreut Philipe Walter umfangreiche Schutzrechtsportfolios nationaler mittelständischer Unternehmen und berät diese in Patentverletzungs-, Einspruchs- und Nichtigkeitsverfahren. So war er bereits an zahlreichen Verfahren zwischen Smartphone-Herstellern und gerichtlichen Auseinandersetzungen zwischen Automobilzulieferfirmen und Set-Top-Boxen- Herstellern beteiligt. Zudem befasst er sich mit patentrechtlichen Fragestellungen im Zusammenhang mit internationalen Lizenz-Pools, die technische Standards (v. a. Blu-Ray-Technologie und Videokodierverfahren) betreffen.

Nach seinem Studium der Elektrotechnik an der RWTH Aachen begann er 1999 seine Ausbildung im gewerblichen Rechtsschutz bei COHAUSZ & FLORACK. Seit 2002 ist als deutscher Patentanwalt und Vertreter vor dem Europäischen Patentamt zugelassen. Zusätzlich absolvierte er ein Masterstudium „Europäischer gewerblicher Rechtsschutz“. 2003 stieg er als Patentanwalt bei COHAUSZ & FLORACK ein, seit 2007 ist er Partner der Kanzlei.
