After obtaining his Master’s degree, he worked for one and a half years in the field of Memory and Cognitive Technologies at the IBM Research Laboratory in Zurich as part of the European Commission’s “Marie Curie Actions Fellowship.” In addition, while completing his PhD at the Institute IA for Physics of New Materials at RWTH Aachen University, Dr. Martin Rütten focused on novel electronic storage media.

During his patent attorney training, he was supported and mentored by Dr. Christoph Walke and Matthias Waters, both patent attorneys and partners at C&F. “With his vast experience and expertise and his pleasant personality, Dr. Martin Rütten is an excellent new addition to our firm,” says Matthias Waters. “We are delighted that he is now part of our interdisciplinary team and would like to give him a warm welcome.” Dr Martin Rütten will primarily support the firm in the areas of communications engineering, audio and video processing as well as data processing and software.
